Ensuring Your Safety in Cold Weather
As temperatures dip below 7˚C during the colder months, the performance of standard tyres can decline significantly. That’s where our Winter Tyres come in. Specially designed to remain flexible in cold weather, they provide enhanced grip, superior handling, and more effective braking. This flexibility prevents the tyres from hardening, a common issue with normal or summer tyres, which can lead to reduced control, skidding, and aquaplaning on icy or wet roads.
For optimal safety and performance, it’s crucial to install Winter Tyres in matching sets of four, all from the same manufacturer. Mixing different brands or types can lead to uneven braking and instability, as each manufacturer uses unique rubber formulations.
Availability and Maintenance Tips
Winter Tyres are available from October through March, when you should consider switching back to your Summer Tyres. If you’re storing your Summer Tyres during this period, ensure they are kept off the ground. If they remain on their wheels, they should be inflated and stacked on top of each other; if they are off their wheels, they should be stored upright to maintain their shape and integrity.
